Oktawia Nowacka

Oktawia Nowacka was born on January 2, 1991, in Starogard Gdański, Poland. She developed into a prominent figure in modern pentathlon, a multi-disciplinary sport comprising fencing, swimming, equestrian show jumping, and a combined event of laser pistol shooting and cross-country running. Her career saw her competing at the highest levels, including the Olympic Games and World Championships, representing Poland.

Throughout her career, Nowacka consistently achieved strong results, demonstrating her proficiency across the diverse challenges of modern pentathlon. A significant milestone in her career was earning a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games in the individual women’s event. She also secured a gold medal in the team event at the 2015 World Modern Pentathlon Championships in Berlin. Her consistent performance at major international competitions established her as a leading athlete in her sport.

Nowacka’s career highlights include multiple medals at European Championships, including silver medals in relays in 2013 and 2022, and a bronze in the mixed relay in 2014. She also achieved notable victories in World Cup events, including a first-place finish at World Cup #4 in Kecskemét, Hungary in 2014, and another first place at the World Cup Final in Sarasota, United States the same year. She has competed in various CISM Military World Championships, including a gold in the team-relay mix in 2015 at Mungyeong, Korea, and a gold in the team-relay women in 2021 at Drzonkow, Poland.
