Fred Carlton Bunton, known professionally as Olivia Lux, was born on March 14, 1994, in Buena Vista Township, New Jersey. She spent her early years in Buena Vista Township and Vineland, New Jersey, before pursuing higher education at Montclair State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2018, she moved to Bushwick, New York, establishing her base in the city.
Olivia Lux gained significant public recognition as a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13 in 2021, where she reached the top five. During her participation, she achieved two main challenge wins, each accompanied by a $5,000 cash prize. Following her appearance on RuPaul’s Drag Race, she became a member of the House of Miyake-Mugler in October 2021, and in February 2022, adopted the name Liv Lux Miyake-Mugler for engagements within the ballroom scene. Her career expanded into stage work, notably playing the role of Angel in Paper Mill Playhouse’s production of ‘Rent’ in 2023.
In 2025, Olivia Lux was announced as a contestant for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 10, further solidifying her presence within the drag entertainment sphere.
