Music sensation O’Ryan first smashed into the teen pop arena in 2004 with his well-received self-titled debut album. His debut track ‘Take it Slow’ dropped the same year showcasing his potential as one of the more promising teen pop crooners of his generation. Written by Andre “mrDEYO” (who penned J-LO classic ‘Jenny From the Block’), the video featured 3LW’s Jessica Benson in the lead role and the track made an impact on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs in September 2004. In recent years the incredibly good looking singer has taken social media by storm, racking up more than 355k followers on Instagram. He also starred on the cover of Preme Magazine alongside his look-alike older brother, R&B singer Omarion, and the pair share a close relationship and similar musical talents.
Born in 1987 in Compton, California, the R&B singer comes from a musical family. At first O’Ryan let his equally talented brother garner the most attention for his singing abilities, but after he was cast in the lead role of Michael Jackson in a Los Angeles production the young star found himself following his older brother and moving into a career in the spotlight.
Since first releasing his own music in 2004 he has featured in the music video for Jhene Aiko’s ‘Spotless Mind’ in 2015, and the pair share a daughter together. Still a force to be reckoned with on the music scene, O’Ryan is now a successful DJ known by the alias DJPapa.
