Pablo Gavi is a central midfielder for FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team, renowned for his technical skill and combative style. After rapidly ascending through FC Barcelona’s youth ranks, Gavi signed his first professional contract with the club in September 2020, moving directly from the U16 team to the U19s and highlighting his exceptional talent. Prior to this, Gavi joined Real Betis’s youth academy in 2013, where he impressively scored 95 goals for their youth team, before advancing to FC Barcelona’s prestigious La Masia academy in 2015. His official debut for Barcelona B occurred on February 21, 2021, quickly gaining attention that led to his inclusion in the first-team preseason by coach Ronald Koeman in 2020.
Although Gavi suffered a significant ACL injury in November 2023 while on international duty, impacting his 2023-24 season, he made a successful return to action in October 2024 against Sevilla. Continuing his commitment to FC Barcelona, he extended his contract with the club until 2030 in January 2025. The 2025 season further brought team success, with Gavi contributing to FC Barcelona’s victories in both the Copa del Rey and another Spanish Super Cup.
