About

Timothy Richard Tebow, born on August 14, 1987, in Makati, Philippines, to American missionary parents, rose to prominence as a collegiate football quarterback. He attended the University of Florida, where he achieved significant success, becoming the first underclassman to win the Heisman Trophy in 2007. During his college career between 2006 and 2009, Tebow led the Florida Gators to two BCS National Championship titles in 2006 and 2008. He concluded his collegiate tenure holding numerous Southeastern Conference (SEC) records, including career passing efficiency and rushing touchdowns, and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2023.

Tebow’s professional football career began when he was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He became the team’s starting quarterback during the 2011 season, leading them to a division title and a playoff victory, achieving widespread recognition for his comeback wins and public displays of Christian faith, known as “Tebowing.” Following his time with the Broncos, he had stints with the New York Jets, New England Patriots, and Philadelphia Eagles, primarily as a backup or offseason player, before concluding his NFL career as a tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021.

Beyond football, Tebow pursued a professional baseball career with the New York Mets organization from 2016 to 2021, playing in minor leagues across various levels. Since 2017, he has become a regular contributor and co-host for college football programming on SEC Network and ESPN. Tebow is also actively involved in philanthropy through the Tim Tebow Foundation, which supports initiatives like Night to Shine, a prom experience for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and has co-authored an autobiography, “Through My Eyes.”
