Patrick Duffy

Patrick Duffy is an American actor and director who rose to prominence with iconic roles in television series such as ‘Dallas’ and ‘Step by Step’. After landing the pivotal role of Bobby Ewing on the internationally acclaimed series ‘Dallas’ in 1978, Patrick Duffy established himself as a prominent actor and director. His early career saw him accepted into the highly competitive Professional Actors Training Program at the University of Washington, Seattle, one of only 12 chosen from over 1,200 applicants in the early 1970s. During this period, Duffy created an innovative actor-in-residence position, interpreting for ballet, opera, and orchestra companies while teaching mime and movement classes.

His career continued with significant projects, including reprising his Bobby Ewing role in two ‘Dallas’ reunion movies, ‘J.R. Returns’ (1996) and ‘War of the Ewings’ (1998), where he also served as co-producer for both. Duffy lent his voice to animated series, appearing in ‘Family Guy’ from 1999 to 2001 and ‘Justice League’ in 2002. He showcased his hosting talents on ‘Bingo America’ in 2008.

He joined the cast of the daytime soap opera ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ in the recurring role of Stephen Logan from 2006 to 2011, a role he reprised in 2022 and 2023. Further accolades include a TV Land Pop Culture Award with his ‘Dallas’ co-stars in 2006 and a Daytime Emmy Award in 2009. Duffy returned to the role that defined a generation, reprising Bobby Ewing for the TNT revival series ‘Dallas’, which aired from 2012 to 2014. Maintaining a robust presence across various platforms, his recent work includes appearances in ‘The Family Business’ (2024-2025) and the upcoming series ‘Hollywood Grit’ (2025), underscoring his enduring appeal and versatility within the industry.
