Peter Hernandez, known professionally as Peter Avalon, was born on June 14, 1989, in Burbank, California. He began his professional wrestling career on November 15, 2008, debuting for the Empire Wrestling Federation against Chris Kadillak. Early in his career, he competed across Southern California for promotions like the Alternative Wrestling Show, where he won the Light-Heavyweight Title from T. J. Perkins on April 26, 2009. Avalon continued to defend his title and engage in notable feuds, including one with Human Tornado that concluded in a Falls Count Anywhere match on October 23, 2009, which he won. His early career also included appearances in Portland, Oregon’s West Coast Wrestling Connection and his Pro Wrestling Guerrilla debut at “Seven” on July 30, 2010.
From 2010 to 2014, Avalon was a prominent figure in Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. He debuted on August 25, 2010, against Colt Cabana. He later formed “The Standard” stable and engaged in significant feuds within the promotion. A key turning point was his alignment with Ray Rosas and Rico Dynamite, forming PPRay. This partnership led to their victory for the CWFH Heritage Tag Team Championships on July 21, 2013, by defeating Los Bandidos, The RockNES Monsters, and The Tribe in an elimination tag team match. He gained attention for a losing streak and a subsequent “race to the bottom” storyline with Brandon Cutler. Following this, he adopted the ‘Pretty’ Peter Avalon gimmick, which led to his first AEW victory after 27 losses and two draws on November 24, 2020. He later formed “The Wingmen” faction with Cezar Bononi, Ryan Nemeth, and J.D. Drake.
