Greek Cypriot-British Peter Polycarpou is an actor on stage, TV and film. Most notably he played Chris Theodopolopodous in the much loved British television comedy series Birds of a Feather alongside the likes of Pauline Quirk. More recently he has been in FOX TV drama Tyrant in nine episodes and appeared in the Chichester Festival Theatre’s Love Story with Emma Williams, before then taking a short run of the same production to the Duchess theatre. Peter has also starred next to Sean Bean in terrorist thriller Cleanskin in 2012 and starred in BBC series The Hustle.
Away from his acting work, Peter has taken an active interest in the Cypriot Film Festival UK and he is also a Water Rat and has been a Director of The Royal Theatre Fund since 2011. He is also a patron of First Stages, a theatre group in Wiltshire where he coaches, directs and is actively involved as often as possible. He also works as a drama teacher and has his own one day work shop where he teaches and coaches youngsters. He has also directed plays such as Les Miserables for the Act Too Youth theatre in Sussex and has his own company Through The Stage Door. Once he also stood for local election in the Muswell Hill ward and is a proud patron of the UK Thalassaemia Society, as well as having run three times in the London Marathon.
