Philippa Forrester is a British television and radio presenter, producer and author who is widely recognised for presenting shows such as Tomorrow’s World, The Heaven and Earth Show, Barking Mad and Robot Wars. Forrester is also recognised as starring in several Lloyds Pharmacy adverts, and co-presented BBC’s Harvest.
Forrester started her career as a children’s television presenter for BFBS, going on to present Children’s BBC alongside Toby Anstis. In 1999, Foresster co-presented the BBC’s coverage of the solar eclipse and was also part of the BBC’s millennium coverage team. As well as presenting many acclaimed shows, Forrester has collaborated with her husband on many productions, establishing their joint productions company in 2003, called Halcyon Media, which specialises in wildlife productions.
Forrester is passionate about wildlife and conservation, and is a fervent environmentalist. Halcyon Media’s four-part series, Halcyon River Diaries, was broadcast in 2010 on BBC1 and was received positively. Forrester was vice president of St Tiggywinkles wildlife hospital, Patron of the Seahorse Trust and Vice President of the Avalon Wildlife Trust.
