Pietro Radassao

Pietro Radassao, a distinguished sport climber and route setter, is recognized for establishing over 100 routes, many of which are high-difficulty sport climbs, including numerous challenging first ascents in Southern Italy. His pioneering work has significantly contributed to placing the Frosolone area of Molise on the map as a prominent climbing destination. Radassao first demonstrated his commitment to pushing boundaries in 2015, completing his first 8c, ‘Ultimo Viaggio con Caronte’, at Frosolone, marking a significant milestone in his career. Following this initial success, Radassao continued his progression with the first ascent of ‘Iron Moon’ in August 2017, a route graded 8c+/9a, which was later confirmed by another elite climber.
