Setting new NFL rookie single-season records for total receptions with 105 and total receiving yards with 1,486, Puka Nacua immediately distinguished himself as a generational talent for the Los Angeles Rams after being selected in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft as the 177th overall pick. He made his NFL debut on September 10, 2023, recording 10 catches for 119 yards, and in his second game, he broke the NFL single-game record for catches by a rookie with 15 receptions for 147 yards. His record-shattering inaugural professional season earned him prestigious Second-team All-Pro honors, a coveted Pro Bowl selection, and a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team, breaking marks that had stood for decades.
