Quentin Richardson, recognized as the USBWA National Freshman of the Year and Conference USA Player of the Year in 1999, made an immediate impact during his two seasons at DePaul University. He became the only player in DePaul’s history to record over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 100 three-point field goals, averaging an impressive 17.9 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. His collegiate career included leading Whitney Young High School to a state AA title in 1998. After declaring for the NBA Draft in 2000, Richardson was selected 18th overall by the Los Angeles Clippers, commencing a distinguished 13-year professional career.
