About

Quincy Taylor Brown, known professionally as Quincy, was born on June 4, 1991, in New York City. Raised in Columbus, Georgia, and later Los Angeles, he is the son of Kim Porter and Al B. Sure!, and was later adopted by Sean “Diddy” Combs. Quincy embarked on his acting career with a debut in the 2012 film “We the Party.” He gained further recognition for his role as Jaleel in the 2015 Cannes and Sundance Film Festival entry “Dope,” followed by a significant role in the 2015 film “Brotherly Love.” His television career includes a recurring role as Daylon in “The Haves and the Have Nots” in 2016 and a main cast role as Derek Jones in Lee Daniels’ FOX series “Star” from 2016 to 2019. More recently, he featured as Crown Camacho in the “Power” prequel series, “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” from 2021 to 2022, and is set to appear as Prince in “The Family Business: New Orleans” in 2025.

Beyond acting, Quincy has established a music career, signing with Bad Boy/Epic Records in 2016. He released his debut EP, “This Is For You,” on Valentine’s Day in 2017, which featured tracks like “Sunshine” and “I can tell you.” His directorial endeavors include the music video for Elle Winter’s “No Words” in 2015 and the short film “Run Loubi Run” for Christian Louboutin’s social media campaign in 2019, demonstrating his creative versatility. His entrepreneurial ventures are notable, including founding the production company FourXample, launching “Chalk by Quincy” for watches, and a jeans collection with Embellish. In 2019, he further expanded his portfolio by developing and releasing the photo editing app “Fresh Crop,” which quickly became a top-selling application.

Quincy’s influence also extends into the fashion and tech industries, where he has held ambassador roles and participated in campaigns for prominent brands. He was featured in Netflix’s “Strong Black Lead” campaign and recognized in The Hollywood Reporter’s Top 10 for social media in 2018. His brand collaborations include Christian Louboutin, Bose, Coach, MCM, Montblanc, Zegna, and Pixel. He also became the first male celebrity spokesperson for Coach New York watches in 2020 and has partnered with brands like Adidas x Ivy Park and Lacoste, solidifying his presence across multiple sectors.
