Rasmus Gemke

Rasmus Gemke is a professional badminton player from Denmark known for his consistent performance in international tournaments, reaching a career-high ranking of World No. 10 in men’s singles. After being awarded the 2012 Badminton Denmark Comet of the Year, Rasmus Gemke went on to establish himself as a dominant force in international badminton. As part of the Danish national U-19 team, he secured a bronze medal at the 2015 European Junior Badminton Championships held in Lubin, Poland.

Gemke then made his senior international debut at the 2016 Belgian International tournament, marking the official beginning of his professional career. His initial breakthroughs on the BWF circuit included securing a BWF Grand Prix title at the 2017 Bitburger Open Grand Prix Gold, followed by a BWF International Challenge title at the 2017 Finnish Open. Gemke continued his ascendancy, earning a gold medal at the European Men’s Team Championships in 2018. That same year, he captured his first BWF World Tour title at the Spain Masters, a Super 300 event, where he defeated Suppanyu Avihingsanon in the final.

He secured another gold medal at the European Men’s Team Championships in 2024 and was a runner-up at the 2024 German Open (BWF World Tour Super 300). Looking ahead, he is slated to contribute to the European Mixed Team Championships in 2025, further cementing his legacy as a multi-medal winning international athlete. Gemke consistently competes at the highest echelons of professional badminton, maintaining a strong global ranking.
