Kim Ga-eun

Kim Ga-eun is a highly accomplished South Korean badminton player, known for her competitive spirit and consistent performance in women’s singles and team events on the international stage. She brings a history of professional sportsmanship and dedication to her partnerships. After representing South Korea at the Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China, in 2014, Kim Ga-eun went on to formally begin her professional badminton career in 2015. By 2016, her consistent performance led to her selection for the prestigious Korean national team, marking a significant milestone in her burgeoning career.

Her consistent high-level play earned her spots in the women’s singles category at both the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the 2024 Paris Olympics. Kim Ga-eun has also played a pivotal role in the success of the South Korean national team, contributing to their gold medal triumph at the 2022 Uber Cup in Bangkok. Her invaluable contributions further led to another gold medal at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou for the Women’s Team event. In mixed team events, Kim Ga-eun secured silver medals at the Asia Mixed Team Championships in both 2017 and 2023, along with a silver at the 2020 Asia Team Championships. She consistently maintains her position among the top players globally, currently holding a World Rank of 18 in Women’s Singles and a World Tour Rank of 31.
