Raven Symone

Raven-Symoné Christina Pearman, born on December 10, 1985, in Atlanta, Georgia, began her career as a child model, appearing in local print ads and later with Ford Models in New York City for brands like Ritz crackers and Fisher-Price. Her acting career started at a young age when she was cast as Olivia Kendall on “The Cosby Show” (1989–1992), making her debut in the show’s sixth season. Following this, she took on the role of Nicole Lee on “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper” (1993–1997). At seven, Raven-Symoné ventured into music, signing with MCA Records and releasing her debut album, “Here’s to New Dreams” (1993), which included the single “That’s What Little Girls Are Made Of.”

Her career continued to evolve with significant roles in Disney projects. She starred as Raven Baxter in the popular Disney Channel series “That’s So Raven” (2003–2007), a role she reprised in the spin-off series “Raven’s Home” (2017–2023), also serving as an executive producer. During this period, she also showcased her musical talent in films like “The Cheetah Girls” (2003) and “The Cheetah Girls 2” (2006), where she contributed vocals to the platinum-certified soundtracks. Beyond acting and music, Raven-Symoné expanded into directing, overseeing episodes for “Raven’s Home,” “Bunk’d,” “Sydney to the Max,” “Pretty Freekin Scary,” and “The Ms. Pat Show.” She also co-hosted the ABC daytime talk show “The View” from 2015 to 2016, earning Emmy nominations.

In 2024, she signed an overall deal with Disney Branded Television to produce, direct, and develop new projects, including a “Raven’s Home” spin-off titled “Alice in the Palace,” slated for 2025. She also became the host of the game show “Scrabble” on The CW in October 2024.
