Born on February 12, 1998, in Edwards, Colorado, River Radamus began his skiing career on the slopes of Vail, guided by his parents who were both coaches. He was named to the U.S. Ski Team in 2016. His early career saw him achieve significant milestones, including becoming a three-time Youth Olympic Games gold medalist, the first athlete to do so, and securing two gold medals at the Junior World Championships in super-G and giant slalom.
Radamus continued his progression on the World Cup circuit. In the 2021 season, he achieved a 10th place finish in Giant Slalom at Alta Badia, ITA, and during the 2022 Beijing Olympics, he placed fourth in both the individual Giant Slalom and the Team Parallel event. The 2023 season marked a significant achievement with a gold medal in the Team Parallel event at the World Championships in Courchevel/Meribel, France. His 2023-24 season was his most successful to date, highlighted by his first career World Cup podium finish, a third place in Giant Slalom at the Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup. He also earned his first World Cup slalom points and a top-ten finish in super-G. In the 2024-25 season, Radamus maintained consistent performance, achieving four top-10 results across giant slalom and super-G disciplines.
Beyond his athletic achievements, Radamus established the ARCO Foundation in 2024. This foundation is dedicated to providing young ski racers with access to high-quality on-snow training and camps, supporting the development of future athletes. He actively hosts camps and grants through this foundation. His career progression highlights a consistent upward trajectory in alpine skiing, from youth competitions to the highest levels of professional sport, accumulating numerous accolades and demonstrating commitment to athlete development.
