Robbie Eagles

Born on February 13, 1990, in New South Wales, Australia, James McMath, known professionally as Robbie Eagles, began his wrestling career in March 2008. Early in his career, he competed on the Australian independent scene for promotions such as Professional Wrestling Alliance (PWA) and Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW). He secured his first championship, the PWA A1GP title, in November 2008. Eagles also expanded his presence internationally, wrestling for companies like Chikara, Progress, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, accumulating valuable experience and developing his distinct wrestling style.

Eagles made his New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) debut in 2018. Initially aligned with Bullet Club, he later transitioned to Chaos in 2019, signifying a shift in his career path. A significant milestone occurred in 2021 when Eagles became the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, making history as the first Filipino and Australian double champion when he also held the IWGP Junior Tag title with Tiger Mask. In 2023, he joined The Mighty Don’t Kneel (TMDK), further diversifying his career affiliations. In 2024, Eagles, alongside Kosei Fujita, won the Super Jr. Tag League and subsequently secured a Junior Tag Title victory at the Tokyo Dome, defending their titles successfully at New Beginning and Junior Genesis before their reign concluded at Wrestling Hizen no Kuni.

Throughout his career, Eagles has consistently demonstrated his capabilities, earning numerous championships including the MCW Intercommonwealth Championship and multiple PWA Heavyweight and Middleweight titles. His “Sniper of the Skies” moniker reflects his blend of aerial maneuvers and precise submission holds, establishing him as a respected competitor in the junior heavyweight division globally. His journey highlights a professional progression from the independent circuit to a prominent position in one of the world’s leading wrestling organizations.
