About

Born in Mufulira, Zambia, on April 6, 1981, Robert Earnshaw embarked on a distinguished football career. He began his youth training with Cardiff City in 1997, turning professional a year later. During his initial tenure with Cardiff City, Earnshaw made 168 appearances and scored 83 goals across all competitions. A significant milestone occurred in 2004 when he transferred to Premier League side West Bromwich Albion F.C., where he scored 12 goals in 43 appearances over two seasons. Earnshaw holds the unique distinction of being the only player to score a hat-trick in every professional division in England, including the FA Cup and League Cup competitions, as well as internationally for Wales.

Following his time at West Bromwich Albion, Earnshaw joined Norwich City F.C. in 2006, leading the Championship in goals during the 2006-07 season with 19 goals. His career also included spells with Derby County F.C., Nottingham Forest F.C., and a return to Cardiff City in 2011. He played internationally for the Welsh National Team, earning 59 caps and scoring 16 goals, making his debut and scoring the winning goal against Germany in May 2002.

Later in his career, Earnshaw played for Maccabi Tel Aviv, Toronto FC, Blackpool, Chicago Fire, and Vancouver Whitecaps, before officially retiring from playing in January 2016. Post-retirement, he transitioned into coaching, joining the Vancouver Whitecaps academy as the U-14 team head coach and then moving to assistant coaching roles with Fresno FC and Orange County SC. Earnshaw continues to be involved in football, pursuing his UEFA Pro License to further his coaching career in Europe.
