Rohini Bajekal is a nutritionist (MA Oxon, MSc Nutrition and Food Sciences, Dip BSLM/IBLM) and a Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional. Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Oxford University, followed by a first-class Master’s degree from The University of Huddersfield in Nutrition and Food Sciences. She is dedicated to providing evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle advice to clients globally, leveraging her IBLM/BSLM Certification. Her expertise spans various areas of lifestyle medicine, including healthy eating, mental well-being, physical activity, and stress management. She has been assisting clients in making sustainable health and nutrition changes since 2018.
Prior to her specialization in nutrition, Rohini worked in the food industry for several years in Mumbai and Singapore, focusing on branding and marketing for food startups. This experience cultivated her interest in making plant-based foods accessible. She volunteers as a Cookery Teacher at Made in Hackney, a plant-based cookery school and charity, and serves as a Board Member and Communications Lead at Plant-Based Health Professionals UK, an organization committed to educating on the benefits of plant-based diets for chronic disease prevention and management. She also contributes her expertise on South Asian diets to the Dietitian and Nutritionist Advisory Committee at Diet ID.
Rohini co-authored “Living PCOS Free” with her mother, Dr. Nitu Bajekal, an ObGyn and Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician. This book offers a comprehensive guide, including a 21-day plan, case studies, myth-busting information, and over 30 plant-based recipes. Her personal experience with PCOS and reversing insulin resistance after a prediabetes diagnosis in her twenties underscores her commitment to women’s hormonal health. She also contributed a chapter on Lifestyle Medicine to Deliciously Ella’s book. Rohini’s practice focuses on improving hormonal health and dietary diversity, working with clients across various dietary preferences.
