The incredible Jeffery Lee Johnson Jr. is a rapper, singer, producer, model and artist who is better known by his stage name Roscoe Dash. He is the originator of Turn Up, and has ghostwritten for numerous names in the music industry. He won the Best Club Banger BET Hip Hop Award in 2011 for his collaborative work on No Hands by Waka Flocka Flame.
Johnson has been interested in music since a young age. He was just 12-years-old when he started rapping after being introduced to Hip Hop by his older brother. Then during High School he and his brother formed a rap group who went by the name of Black Out Boiz (aka B.O.B.). The band had some success but Johnson left to go solo, recording his own music and releasing mixtapes. He then came up with the stage name Roscoe Dash and released the song All the Way Turnt Up in 2010. Then, after re-recording it and adding a guest verse featuring rapper Soulja Boy, it became a radio hit. Dash signed with Interscope Records and recorded his debut album, Ready Set Go!, the same year. In 2011 he was featured on the three-time platinum song No Hands by Waka Flocka Flame alongside rapper Wale. The three rappers were awarded the Club Banger of the Year at the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards. Dash has continued to make groundbreaking music, collaborating with fellow artists, as well as regularly releasing tracks and mixtapes, the latest of which, Yes I Can, came out in 2021.
Dash regularly connects with his legions of followers and fans through Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos about his life both in and out of the recording studio. He is also available for that personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform, and has a dedicated YouTube channel, RoscoeDashOnline.
