Rose Abdoo

Recipient of the Joseph Jefferson Award in 1991 for ‘Best Actress in a Revue’ for her role in The Second City’s acclaimed production, ‘We Made a Mesopotamia, Now You Clean It Up,’ Rose Abdoo established herself as a formidable talent in comedic improvisation. Abdoo honed her skills during a four-year tenure with The Second City in Chicago’s improvisational theater scene, where she developed her acclaimed one-woman shows, ‘Who Does She Think She Is?’ and ‘Get to the Part About Me.’ She also collaborated with notable comedy figures Bob Odenkirk and Conan O’Brien on the variety program ‘Happy Happy Good Show.’ Her early work earned her further recognition, including the L.A. Weekly’s Female Solo Performer of the Year award. With a career spanning over three decades and accumulating more than 110 television and movie credits, Abdoo is widely recognized for her recurring role as Gypsy, the Stars Hollow mechanic, in ‘Gilmore Girls’ (2002–2007).
