Ross Mullan (born 5 January 1967) is a Canadian-British actor and puppeteer, known for portraying White Walkers on the HBO television series Game of Thrones in its second to fourth seasons. He has appeared in episodes of Doctor Who and in the 2010 film Clash of the Titans.
As of 2018 he was teaching animation at University for the Creative Arts, in Farnham.

He initially trained in mask and physical theatre, touring internationally with various theatre companies in productions such as ‘East of Eden’, ‘David Copperfield’, ‘Christmas Carol’, and ‘Sherlock Holmes’. Mullan’s range expanded to include comedic performances in clubs and bars, demonstrating his versatility as a performer. His acclaimed portrayal of Orsino in Bath Theatre Royal’s ‘Twelfth Night’ and the title role in ‘The Selfish Giant’ for Leicester Haymarket Theatre further solidified his standing in UK theatre. A significant turning point in his career involved bringing the play ‘Thick’ from the Edinburgh Festival to New York City, where it achieved sold-out performances.
Mullan is also an established puppeteer and voice-over artist, having trained with Jim Henson’s company. He brought to life Nev the Bear on CBBC’s ‘Bear Behaving Badly’ as the voice and spirit behind the character, and was also prominently featured as the evil Numbertaker in Cbeebies’ ‘Numberjacks’. His work on major television series includes playing a White Walker in HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ from 2012 to 2014 across three episodes, and appearing as The Silence, The Teller, and a Wraith in ‘Doctor Who’ between 2013 and 2015 for three episodes.
