The amazing Gregory Green, better known as Rsonist, is a talented multi-platinum music producer most famous for setting up the Hip-Hop production team The Heatmakerz, with Sean Thomas (aka Thrilla). The pair originally came from Kingston, Jamaica, but moved to New York and rose to fame when they began providing beats to various releases of The Diplomats in the early 2000s. Their production style is based upon high pitched soul samples.
Rsonist first made his way into beat making as a bit of a last resort. Forced to move back to the Bronx after he was kicked out of Howard University, the young producer decided to build off of his experience as a DJ during his time at Howard. With help from his musical partner Thrilla he put together some beats and sold them to industry veteran Todd Terry. Commissioned to make more, Rsonist began to compile tracks, and after making an instrumental that combined the energy of reggae and rap he created the legendary track Dipset Anthem, which helped to put him on the musical map.
Rsonist regularly connects with his legions of followers and fans through Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos about his life both in and out of the recording studio. He is available for that personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform, and has an official website, theheatmakerz.com.
