Rudy Gobert

Rudy Gobert is a French professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves, widely recognized for his defensive skills. After being selected 27th overall in the 2013 NBA Draft and immediately traded to the Utah Jazz, Rudy Gobert quickly established himself as a dominant force in professional basketball. Notably, he set NBA Draft Combine records for wingspan (7 feet 8.5 inches) and standing reach (9 feet 7 inches), earning him the nickname ‘The Stifle Tower.’ Gobert made his NBA debut in the 2013-14 season, playing in 45 games, and his impact grew significantly in the 2014-15 season, highlighted by a career-high 24 rebounds in a March 2015 game, which contributed to his third-place finish in the NBA Most Improved Player Award voting. Earlier in his career, he made his senior team debut with Cholet Basket in the 2010-11 season and represented the French under-18 national team in 2010, leading in scoring and rebounding at the FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship.
