Cameron Lee Brink, born on December 31, 2001, in Princeton, New Jersey, developed into a decorated basketball player. Her early life included three years living in Amsterdam due to her parents’ work at Nike, where she first began playing basketball after attending a camp led by her godfather, Dell Curry. Initially, Brink showed interest in art and volleyball, even winning a state title in volleyball during high school, before fully committing to basketball. She attended Southridge High School and later Mountainside High School in Beaverton, Oregon, where she became a McDonald’s All-American and was ranked the third-best player nationally by ESPN.
Brink committed to Stanford University, a decision influenced by her relationships with the coaching staff and the university’s academic reputation. Her collegiate career at Stanford was marked by consistent achievement from 2020 to 2024. As a freshman, she was a key contributor to Stanford’s NCAA national championship victory in 2021 and set a program record for single-season blocks. In subsequent seasons, she continued to accumulate accolades, including multiple Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year awards, WBCA Defensive Player of the Year, and unanimous All-American honors. She also broke Stanford’s all-time blocks record as a junior with 118 blocks and recorded the program’s first triple-double with points, rebounds, and blocks against Oregon in 2023. Her senior year saw her earn Pac-12 Player of the Year for a second time, averaging 17.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks per game, leading the nation in blocks per game.
Professionally, Brink was the second overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, selected by the Los Angeles Sparks. She made her WNBA debut in May 2024. In addition to her WNBA career, Brink has achieved significant success in international play, earning three gold medals with USA Basketball, including the 2023 FIBA 3×3 World Cup where she was named MVP. Off the court, Brink is engaged to Ben Felter and actively advocates for mental health destigmatization, earning the CalHOPE Courage Award in 2022. She has also secured several NIL deals with major brands, leveraging her platform to align with her personal values and promote athlete well-being.
