Rui Hachimura

Rui Hachimura is a professional basketball player who has represented Japan on the international stage and currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, bringing high-level athletic performance and global appeal to partnerships. After leading Meisei High School to three consecutive All-Japan High School Tournament titles from 2013 to 2015, Rui Hachimura quickly emerged as a prominent figure in international basketball. He earned a bronze medal at the 2013 FIBA Asia U16 Championship and consistently performed as a top player for Japan’s under-17 and under-19 national teams in FIBA competitions. These early achievements garnered significant international attention, culminating in his commitment to play college basketball for the Gonzaga Bulldogs in the United States in 2015.

In 2023, he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he continues to be a key contributor, playing a vital role in their 2023 NBA In-Season Tournament championship. Beyond his NBA commitments, Hachimura has consistently represented Japan’s senior national team, participating in the 2019 FIBA World Cup and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where he notably scored 34 points against Slovenia.
