Ruth Langsford

Ruth Langsford has established herself as a prominent British television presenter, known for her roles on popular daytime shows and her significant contributions to various broadcasting platforms. After establishing her television career at ITV’s regional station Television South West (TSW) in Plymouth, England, serving as a continuity announcer and newscaster, Ruth Langsford transitioned to Westcountry Television when it assumed the franchise on January 1, 1993. Her career swiftly expanded into national television, where she took on hosting roles for prominent broadcasters including BBC1, BBC2, ITV, and various satellite channels, solidifying her reputation as a versatile presenter across diverse platforms. Langsford made significant contributions to ITV’s flagship daytime program, ‘This Morning,’ from 1999 to 2022, becoming its longest-serving presenter.

In February 2017, Langsford diversified her brand by launching ‘Ruth Langsford’s Fashion Edit’ in partnership with QVC, a successful fashion line she actively co-presents. In 2017, Langsford captivated audiences as a participant in the fifteenth series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing.’ She continued her collaborative work with Eamonn Holmes on ‘Do the Right Thing’ (2018) and co-presented ‘Lose a Stone in Four Weeks for Summer’ in both 2019 and 2020.
