Sahana Srinivasan

Sahana Srinivasan is an American actress, comedian, and filmmaker, originating from Dallas, Texas. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a degree in film. Srinivasan gained early recognition by hosting the Netflix series “Brainchild,” produced by Pharrell Williams, an educational science show primarily for younger audiences. This role established her as a public figure and the first woman of color to host an American science show.

Her career continued to develop with recurring roles in prominent television series such as Freeform’s “Grown-ish” (2022-2023) and Apple TV+’s “For All Mankind” (2022-2023), where she appeared in multiple episodes. In 2021, Srinivasan was a recurring cast member in the final season of HBO’s “Insecure,” working alongside Issa Rae. She has also made guest appearances on HBO Max’s “Minx” (2022), directed by Carrie Brownstein, and a special episode of AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead” (2021).

Srinivasan’s profile in comedy also expanded her recognition, leading to her selection for the CBS Diversity Showcase in 2022. She was also named one of TimeOut magazine’s “10 Comedians to Watch” in 2020. Her recent work includes a starring role in Amazon’s “The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh,” which airs in autumn. Additionally, she has upcoming roles in the TV series “Goosebumps” (2025) and the shorts “Joshua” and “Dying to See You.”
