Sam Ashghari

Hesam ‘Sam’ Asghari was born on March 3, 1994, in Tehran, Iran, to Mike and Fatima Asghari. He is the youngest of four children and started gymnastics at age four. At 13, he moved to the United States. In high school, he engaged with theater, performing in plays such as ‘Hamlet’ and ‘Macbeth,’ and played football. He later attended Los Angeles Pierce College. At age 21, his sister Faye introduced him to modeling, which led to his first runway show for designer Michael Costello in Palm Springs, California.

Asghari’s career expanded into modeling for various magazines, including ‘Vulkan,’ ‘Men’s Health,’ ‘Iron Man,’ and ‘GQ.’ In 2019, he received a Daytime Beauty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Fitness, recognizing his work in the fitness industry. Transitioning to acting, he made his film debut in the 2018 parody ‘Unbelievable!!!!!’ and later appeared in several television shows. These included a multi-episode arc as Giancarlo in season 3 of ‘Black Monday’ in 2021 and a role as ‘Sexy Santa’ on ‘Hacks’ the same year. He also joined the cast of the action thriller film ‘Hot Seat’ in October 2021, co-starring with Mel Gibson and Kevin Dillon, portraying SWAT Sergeant Tobias. Asghari has consciously avoided roles that perpetuate Middle Eastern stereotypes.

Beyond his acting and modeling work, Asghari established Asghari Fitness in 2020, offering personalized training programs through his website. He became an American citizen in 2012. In his personal life, he met Britney Spears in 2016 while appearing in her music video for ‘Slumber Party.’ They married in June 2022 and divorced in December 2024. He was cast in the third season of ‘The Traitors US,’ set to be released in early 2025, further diversifying his career path.
