Sandra Hess

Sandra Hess, born in Zurich, Switzerland, commenced her professional journey at the age of 15, engaging in modeling work and television commercials. Pursuing higher education, she enrolled at the University of Zurich to study law. However, her focus shifted towards an acting career, leading her to move to the United States. Upon settling in Los Angeles, Hess dedicated herself to acting classes, which paved the way for her cinematic debut.

Her acting career gained momentum with her first significant role in the 1992 comedy “Encino Man,” where she portrayed a cavewoman. This early experience set the stage for her future in action-oriented roles. In 1997, Hess took on the lead role of Sonya Blade in “Mortal Kombat: Annihilation,” a performance that highlighted her aptitude for action sequences. Following this, she secured another lead as a villain in the telefilm “Nick Fury: Agent of Shield” in 1998, based on the Marvel comic. Her career further expanded with a regular role on “Pensacola: Wings of Gold” from 1998 to 2000, where she played Lieutenant Alexandra “Ice” Jensen.

Throughout her career, Hess made guest appearances in several notable television series, including “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” “Sliders,” “SeaQuest 2032,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “NCIS,” “General Hospital,” and “Psych.” Her work consistently demonstrated a capability to adapt to diverse characters and production demands within both film and television. Hess concluded her acting career in 2012, marking a period of sustained involvement in the entertainment industry.
