Santiago L. Valdarrama, a distinguished computer scientist and writer, first demonstrated his foundational expertise in software engineering by writing his initial line of code in Turbo Pascal in 1994, marking the beginning of a career dedicated to robust software applications. With over two decades of experience in designing and implementing software and machine learning solutions, Valdarrama specialized early on in enterprise software applications and quickly moved into leadership roles. His robust academic background includes earning his B.S.

degree in Information Technology, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Camagüey in 2004, followed by a Master of Science in Machine Learning from Georgia Institute of Technology. Building on this strong foundation, Valdarrama has provided critical engineering leadership on high-profile projects for major corporations including IBM, Dell, Cisco, and NextEra Energy. He currently spearheads a company’s Computer Vision product team, driving innovation in advanced machine learning applications and leading strategic development.
