Scott Podsednik, a World Series Champion and American League All-Star outfielder, was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 3rd round of the 1994 MLB June Amateur Draft, beginning an 11-season Major League Baseball career marked by impactful baserunning and pivotal playoff performances. After stints with the Gulf Coast Rangers in 1994 and Florida Marlins’ Class-A affiliates, he played for the Double-A Tulsa Drillers through 2000. Podsednik made his MLB debut on July 6, 2001, as a pinch-runner for the Seattle Mariners, following his time at Triple-A with the Tacoma Rainiers. In his first major league at-bat on July 15, 2001, he hit a bases-loaded triple against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
