Record-holding speedster Sébastien Loeb is a professional racing, rally, and rallycross driver. He is the most successful driver in the World Rally Championship, having won the championship a record nine times in a row. He also won the rallycross Gold medal at the X Games in 2012 He was made a Légion d’honneur in 2009 for his services to French racing.
Born and raised in Frances, Loeb started his career in sports as a gymnast and was a 4x Champion of Alsasce, as well as the champion of the French Grand East. He then switched to rally driving in 1995 and six years later he won the Junior World Rally Championship. He was signed by the Citroën World Rally Team for the 2002 season, and in 2004 he took his first drivers’ title, going on to lift a record nine consecutive world titles up to and including the one in 2012. He is also a 4x winner of the Race of Champions, and has competed in the Dakar Rally, Le Mans, Formula 1, the FIA GT Series and Porsche Supercup, as well as the World Touring Car Championship, the FIA World Rallycross Championship, Extreme E, the Peak Hill Climb, and the X Games, for which he won a Gold medal in rallycross.
