Shannon McCormick was born on August 19, 1971, in Atlantic, Iowa, USA. He began his career in the late 1990s as an actor, appearing in films such as “Les Misérables” (1998) as a Redheaded Gendarme and “Sleeping Dogs” (1997) as Tippit. His early work also included “Crackerjack 2” (1997) and “Act of War” (1998). McCormick quickly established himself as a versatile performer, transitioning into voice acting where he would gain significant recognition.

McCormick became prominently associated with Rooster Teeth Productions, lending his voice to several of their well-known animated projects. He notably voiced Agent Washington and Lopez 2.0 in the long-running web series “Red vs. Blue” from 2008 to 2020. His involvement with Rooster Teeth expanded to include the role of Professor Ozpin in “RWBY,” a role he maintained from 2013 to 2023, and the characters Quartermaster, Quartersister, and Almanac in “Camp Camp” from 2016 to 2024.
