Shawn Lemon

Shawn Lemon, a three-time Grey Cup champion, made an indelible mark on the Canadian Football League, notably securing the 102nd Grey Cup with the Calgary Stampeders in 2014. During this pivotal season, Lemon started all 18 games, recording 13 sacks and setting a CFL league record with eight forced fumbles. His professional journey began in 2011 with his CFL debut for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers before moving to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He gained further experience in 2012, playing for the Arena Football League’s San Jose SaberCats and Orlando Predators, as well as the Indoor Football League’s Sioux Falls Storm, prior to returning to the CFL with the Edmonton Eskimos and then joining the Calgary Stampeders in 2013.

His relentless pursuit of excellence continued into 2023 when he joined the Montreal Alouettes. That year proved to be another career highlight, as Lemon achieved his 100th career sack, scored his first career touchdown, and ultimately secured his third Grey Cup championship with the Alouettes. Shawn Lemon’s professional career was temporarily interrupted in 2024 when he faced an indefinite suspension from the CFL. However, demonstrating resilience and commitment, he was conditionally reinstated in July 2025 and is set to return to the Montreal Alouettes, poised to continue his distinguished career.
