Canada Shelby Bain has achieved global recognition as an actress and dancer, known for her roles in television series and films.

Shelby Bain commenced her dance training at the age of five, transitioning into competitive dance by age six. Her professional acting career initiated with an appearance in the American Girl Movie, Isabelle Dances Into the Spotlight, and a role in the television series Backstage for Family Channel and Netflix. She continued to develop her performance skills through various projects.
Bain is widely recognized for her portrayal of Amy in ‘The Next Step’, a series broadcast in over 120 countries. She joined the cast in season four and maintained her role as a permanent troupe member for four seasons, appearing in approximately 100 episodes. Her involvement extended to promotional activities with Family Channel across Canada, including Family Channel’s Big Ticket Concert, and with CBBC in the UK. She participated in live concerts internationally, performing in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom on multiple tours.
Her filmography includes the Lifetime Network movie Believe Me, where she appeared as Sarah Pinkerton, and the dark comedy-drama film Tammy’s Always Dying, a Jessica Adams Production. In addition to her acting work, Bain is involved in coaching and teaching at LB Acting Studios, contributing to the development of other performers. Her career trajectory demonstrates consistent engagement in both performance and instruction.
