Shelby Bain has achieved global recognition as an actress and dancer, known for her roles in television series and films. After making her professional acting debut in the American Girl Movie, Isabelle Dances Into the Spotlight (2014), Shelby Bain secured a significant role in the television series Backstage (2016), which aired on Family Channel and Netflix. Building on a foundation of extensive dance training and competitive experience, she further amplified her profile by joining the internationally acclaimed series The Next Step, a role that would define a major phase of her early career. Bain gained widespread international recognition for her compelling portrayal of Amy in The Next Step, joining the ensemble cast in Season 4 in 2016.

She subsequently took on the challenging role of a Pregnant Teenager in the dark comedy-drama film Tammy’s Always Dying (2019), a Jessica Adams Production, which premiered to critical attention and further showcased her versatility across diverse genres and complex character portrayals.
