About

Sidney Ferris Rosenberg was born on April 19, 1967, in Brooklyn, New York. He pursued higher education at the University of Miami and Brooklyn College in 1984 and 1985 before dropping out. He later earned an associate degree from Kingsborough Community College in 1990, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Baruch College in 1992. Rosenberg began his radio career in West Palm Beach, Florida, hosting the syndicated sports radio program “The Drive” on Sports Fan Radio Network in the late 1990s, an early transition from an Internet broadcast foundation.

In 2000, Rosenberg moved to New York City, co-hosting WNEW-FM’s morning show, the Sports Guys. The following year, he joined the “Imus in the Morning” program, where he served as the full-time sports reporter, often engaging in lively on-air exchanges. During this period, he also became the co-host of the midday show on WFAN, Imus’ flagship station, holding both positions until 2005. His tenure at WFAN ended in September 2005 after failing to appear for the New York Giants’ pre-game show. From 2005 to 2015, Rosenberg worked in Southern Florida radio, starting at WAXY 790-The Ticket, then WQAM, and WMEN 640AM, with his time at WQAM ending in 2012 following a DUI arrest.

Rosenberg returned to New York radio in a more prominent capacity in 2010, initially with fill-in roles at WFAN. In 2011, he became the weekday morning sports anchor for WFAN’s sister station, 1010 WINS, departing in 2012. His official return to New York radio arrived in January 2016 as co-host of “The Bernie and Sid Show” on 77 WABC, alongside Bernard McGuirk. This partnership evolved, and by November 2016, Rosenberg replaced Warner Wolf as the sports contributor for “Imus in the Morning.” Following Don Imus’ retirement, Rosenberg and McGuirk signed contracts in March 2018 to take over the morning slot. After McGuirk’s passing in December 2022, the show was rebranded as “Sid and Friends in the Morning.” In October 2024, Rosenberg spoke at a rally for Donald Trump at Madison Square Garden.
