British actress and model Sophie Hopkins is known for her role in Doctor Who spin-off Class, and films Brackenmore and Hurt by Paradise.
Born in Singapore and raised in Yorkshire, Hopkins studied Performing Arts and Musical Theatre at university before moving to London to pursue her acting dreams. She continued to study at the Identity School of Acting, as well as joining theatre company Fourth Monkey and regularly appearing in stage shows. In 2011 she landed her first television role, in documentary Filthy Cities, and in the same year starred in another documentary called Dark Matters: Twisted But True. In 2016 she made her breakthrough appearance in Doctor Who spin-off Class, playing a student at Coal Hill Academy who is tasked with combatting alien invasions by the Doctor. Audiences loved Hopkins and the character, and her reputation grew as a bright, upcoming actress on the British scene. She began to get parts in films, including the lead in 2016 horror Brackenmore, short film Split and 2018 release Hurt by Paradise. The actress also branched out into radio plays, starring in a radio adaptation of Class which ran over two years.
This multi-talented actress is also a model, and regularly works with big brands on campaigns and shoots. She recently starred in web series Moving to Mars, and in 2019 starred in short comedy film Wives of the Landed Gentry. Hopkins continues to work as both an actress and a model, and is highly sought after around the world.
