Abby Lee Miller

Abby Lee Miller is an American dance instructor, choreographer, television personality, and author, recognized for founding the Abby Lee Dance Company and her role on the reality series Dance Moms. After gaining widespread recognition in 2011 with her appearance on the Lifetime reality television series Dance Moms, Abby Lee Miller established herself as a prominent dance instructor, choreographer, television personality, and author. Miller’s foundational work began in 1980 when she established the Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) as a competitive dance team. Her professional credentials expanded in 1986 when she became a certified member of Dance Masters of America through Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter #10.

In 1995, Miller assumed full ownership of her original studio, rebranding it as Reign Dance Productions. Miller remained a central figure on Dance Moms for eight seasons, a successful run that concluded in September 2019. The show’s widespread popularity led to several spin-off series, including Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition, which aired for two seasons, alongside Dance Moms: Miami and Dance Moms: Abby’s Studio Rescue. Further expanding her reach in television, Miller also served as a guest judge on Dancing with the Stars.

In recent years, Miller has continued to engage with her global audience through various platforms, including her active YouTube channel, where she provides dance instruction and commentary. In June 2023, Miller launched her highly anticipated podcast, ‘Leave It On The Dance Floor,’ offering insights and discussions on her extensive experiences from Dance Moms and related shows. She also continues to connect with aspiring dancers worldwide through virtual dance classes and merchandise sales, in addition to conducting international teaching tours, further solidifying her ongoing influence in the dance industry.
