Stephen Christian has transitioned from a successful alternative rock frontman to a worship leader and campus pastor, while also maintaining an active music career. After leading the alternative rock band Anberlin, Stephen Christian established himself as a dynamic vocalist and songwriter, contributing to seven studio albums before the band’s initial disbandment in 2014. Under his leadership, Anberlin’s releases achieved significant chart success, with multiple albums peaking in the top ten on various Billboard charts, including ‘Blueprints for the Black Market’ (2003), ‘Never Take Friendship Personal’ (2005), ‘Cities’ (2007), ‘New Surrender’ (2008), ‘Dark Is the Way, Light Is a Place’ (2010), ‘Vital’ (2012), and ‘Lowborn’ (2014). Christian also founded the non-profit organization Faceless International and the independent label Wood Water Records.
His most recent musical endeavor, the solo album ‘Spirited,’ was released in 2021, showcasing his continued evolution as an artist. Throughout his career, Christian has also lent his vocal talents to collaborations with a diverse range of artists, including Craig Owens, Hyland, Fireflight, and Zakk Cash, highlighting his collaborative spirit and respected voice within the music community.
