Lead vocalist of band Anberlin and solo project Anchor and Braille, Stephen Christian is a singer and songwriter and founder of record label Wood Water Records.
Christian has always been musical, and was in the band SaGoh 24/7 during his time in high school. It was this band that eventually turned into Anberlin, and they were signed soon after Christian graduated from the University of Central Florida. Anberlin released three albums under independent label Tooth & Nail Records, with their third release making it into the Top 20 on the Billboard chart. In 2007 they were signed to Universal Records, releasing three more chart topping albums before announcing their disbandment in 2014. They would go on to perform a reunion tour in 2019, and have recently announced an upcoming album. Outside of his work with Anberlin, Christian is also the founder of Faceless International, a band and non-profit organisation, as well as record label Wood Water Records. His acoustic solo project Anchor & Braille is signed to the record label and he has released four albums since 2009.
As well as his music career, Christian has also released a memoir entitled The Orphaned Anything’s and has been appointed as director of worship and creative arts for the Calvary Church of Clearwater. He is also the campus pastor for Grace Family Church’s South Tampa Campus and continues to release music as both Anberlin and Anchor & Braille.
