Summer Rappaport

Summer Rappaport has transitioned from a collegiate swimmer and runner to an Olympic triathlete, competing at the highest levels of the sport. After becoming the first American triathlete to qualify for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Triathlon Team in 2019, Summer Rappaport solidified her position as a formidable competitor on the world stage. During her four years, she consistently achieved top-eight finishes at the Big East Championship for swimming.

In cross-country, Rappaport earned Academic honors in 2011-12, was named All-Mid-Atlantic Region and All-Big East in 2012, and secured a fourth-place finish at the 2013 Big East Championships in the 5,000 meters. This dual athletic background paved the way for her multi-sport racing career. After graduating from Villanova in 2013 with a degree in political science, Rappaport joined the USA Triathlon Collegiate Recruitment Program. This led to her debut as an elite triathlete in March 2014, making her ITU World Cup debut in September 2014 and securing several top-five finishes at various ITU Continental Cup events.

Rappaport has continued to accumulate significant accolades on the international circuit. In 2021, she earned a silver medal at the World Triathlon Championship Series in Yokohama, Japan, followed by a bronze medal at the prestigious HAMBURG WASSER World Triathlon Championship Series. Her success continued into 2022, where she secured a bronze medal as part of the Team USA Mixed Relay team at the World Triathlon Sprint & Relay Championships Montreal. That same year, she also claimed another bronze medal at the Europe Triathlon Mixed Relay Club Championships Banyoles.

Demonstrating consistent performance and a commitment to elite competition, Rappaport continues to focus on international events with aspirations for future Olympic Games. Her sustained presence on the triathlon circuit reinforces her status as a leading professional triathlete.
