Child star Sydney Lucas is famous for portraying Small Alison Bechdel in the musical Fun Home and has starred in many other theater, television and film roles. Her performance in both the original Broadway and Off-Broadway productions of Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron’s smash hit Fun Home earned her a prestigious Obie Award, a Theater World Award and nominations for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical and a Drama Desk Award.
Lucas already has numerous television appearances under her belt, including Royal Pains, Team Umizoomi, Would You Fall For That?, Saturday Night Live, Late Show with David Letterman, How and Why and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Her movie credits include playing a young Kristen Wiig in two films – Girl Most Likely and The Skeleton Twins, and the role of Young Imogene in
2015’s She’s Funny That Way alongside Jennifer Aniston.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, the talented young actress moved to New York City when she was two, and first appeared in commercials with her older brother Jake. In 2014 she became the youngest person to win an Obie Award after wowing audiences and critics with her impressive performance in Fun Home when she was just ten years old. Her Tony Award nomination came a year later when she was 11, before Lucas left the Fun Home Company in 2015. Since then Lucas has continued to impress in every role she takes on, and undoubtedly has a bright future still ahead of her.
