Temi Fagbenle

Tèmítọ́pẹ́ Títílọlá “Temi” Fágbénlé was born on September 8, 1992, in Baltimore, Maryland. She moved to London, United Kingdom at the age of two and began playing basketball at the Haringey Angels club. At fifteen, she relocated to the United States to attend Blair Academy in New Jersey, where she was selected for the McDonald’s All-American High School team. She continued her education and basketball career at Harvard University before transferring to the University of Southern California for her final year of NCAA basketball. Her early career demonstrated her talent and commitment to the sport, setting the foundation for her professional achievements.

Fagbenle’s professional career began with her selection by the Minnesota Lynx in the third round of the 2016 WNBA Draft. In her rookie season in 2017, she earned a WNBA championship with the Lynx. Her career with the Lynx ran from 2017 to 2019. Following her tenure with the Lynx, she played for various international teams including CCC Polkowice (2017–2019), BOTAŞ (2019), Perfumerías Avenida (2019–2020), Reyer Venezia (2020–2021), Çukurova Basketbol (2021–2022), ZVVZ USK Praha (2022–2023), and London Lions (2023–2024). During this period, she won multiple national championships in Spain, Italy, and Great Britain and secured the EuroCup in 2024 with the London Lions. In 2023-2024, she was named WBBL MVP.

In January 2024, Fagbenle signed a training camp contract with the Indiana Fever, making the final roster and playing in the first eight regular-season games before a left foot injury limited her availability. On December 6, 2024, she was chosen by the Golden State Valkyries in the WNBA expansion draft, marking her transition to a new team for the 2025 season. Fagbenle has also represented Great Britain internationally, playing for the national team at the under-16, 18, and 20 levels. She competed in the 2011 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship for Women and was part of the Great Britain team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Her international experience includes averaging 4.8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1.2 blocks, and 1 steal in 19.2 minutes per game at the Olympics.
