The Kid Mero

The Kid Mero is a Dominican-American writer, comedian, and television host known for his work in late-night television and digital media. After launching his pivotal comedic partnership with Desus Nice on the Complex TV podcast ‘Desus vs. Mero’ in December 2013, The Kid Mero quickly established himself as a prominent voice in digital media and late-night television. This initial collaboration ran for 46 episodes, laying the groundwork for his future success.

He made his acting debut as Tony in the 2020 film ‘Vampires vs. the Bronx’ and delivered a voice cameo in the Oscar-winning musical film ‘In the Heights’ in 2021. His versatile voice talent has also been featured in numerous animated series, including ‘Neo Yokio’ (2017-2018), ‘Star vs. the Forces of Evil’ (2019), ‘Black-ish’ (2020), and ‘Crank Yankers’ (2021–2022), showcasing his range across various comedic and dramatic roles.

In 2023, Mero launched two successful independent podcasts, ‘Victory Light’ and ‘7 PM in Brooklyn,’ the latter alongside NBA icon Carmelo Anthony, further broadening his media presence and demonstrating his diverse interests. His most recent acting work includes the 2024 film ‘Memes & Nightmares,’ and he continues to lend his voice to animated projects, with upcoming roles in ‘Hamster & Gretel’ (2024) and ‘Primos’ (2024–2025), underscoring his continued demand in the entertainment landscape.
