Thomas Jaeschke

Thomas Jaeschke was born in 1993 and grew up in Wheaton, Illinois. He attended Wheaton Warrenville South High School, where he won a national championship with his high school team in 2012 and was named to the USAV Boys Junior National Championship All-Tournament Team the same year. Jaeschke continued his academic and athletic career at Loyola University Chicago, studying finance. During his time at Loyola, he distinguished himself by winning NCAA titles in 2014 and 2015 with the Loyola Ramblers. He was recognized as the AVCA Player of the Year in 2015 and was a two-time AVCA First Team All-American in 2014 and 2015.

Jaeschke made his debut with the U.S. Men’s National Team in 2015 at the NORCECA Champions Cup. He earned a bronze medal at the 2015 FIVB World League. He transitioned to a professional career after his junior year at Loyola, playing for Asseco Resovia in Poland from 2015 to 2017 and Calzedonia Verona in Italy from 2017 to 2021. He has represented the U.S. in three Olympic Games, earning bronze medals in Rio 2016 and Paris 2024. Throughout his career, Jaeschke has overcome injuries, including an ACL tear in 2018 and a dislocated shoulder and torn labrum in 2019, returning to compete at an elite level. He completed his undergraduate degree in finance in 2022.

His professional career has seen him play for various international clubs, including Allianz Milano, Beijing BAIC Motor, Halkbank Ankara, and Panasonic Panthers. He signed a contract with Galatasaray in 2025. Jaeschke’s achievements include a Gold medal at the 2023 Olympic Qualifier and the 2023 NORCECA Continental Championship, as well as a Silver medal at the 2023 Volleyball Nations League Final. He consistently serves as an outside hitter for the U.S. Men’s National Team, participating in numerous significant international competitions.
