After captivating global audiences on the eighth season of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ in 2016, placing sixth, Thorgy Thor established herself as a celebrated drag performance artist, musician, and entertainer. Prior to this breakthrough, Thorgy, a classically trained musician, graduated from the State University of New York, Purchase in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music in both viola and violin performance. Her distinctive style, blending classical music with drag, garnered early recognition within the Brooklyn nightlife scene, culminating in her winning the LEGEND award at the 2014 Brooklyn Nightlife Awards.

In 2018, Thorgy also took on a role in the musical ‘Oh My God Broadway,’ further solidifying her theatrical range. In 2019, Thorgy Thor was featured in the documentary film ‘Disruptor Conductor’ and appeared in ‘Drag Me Down the Aisle’ on TLC. The same year, she lent her voice as a puppet character for Trixie Mattel’s ‘Yellow Cloud’ music video. Expanding her television footprint, she was prominently featured in ‘Dragnificent!’ on TLC in 2020, with the series also available on Hulu.
