Tiffany Stevenson, born on September 29, 1978, in Greenford, West London, began her career as an actress. This early phase included roles in notable television series such as “The Office” (British TV series) in 2001, “Days That Shook the World” in 2005, “People Just Do Nothing” from 2015 to 2018, and Roisin Conaty’s “GameFace” between 2017 and 2019. Her film credits include “Spinning Candyfloss” in 2000 and “Slotherhouse” in 2023. These initial experiences in film and television developed her performance skills and provided a foundation for her future endeavors in comedy.
Stevenson expanded her professional focus to stand-up comedy in 2006, performing for the first time at the Edinburgh Fringe that same year. She continued to return to the Edinburgh Fringe with several solo shows, including “Dictators” (2010), “Cavewoman” (2011), “Uncomfortably Numb” (2012), “Optimist” (2014), “Mad Man” (2015), “Seven” (2016), and “Bombshell” (2017). The show “Bombshell” received recognition, being listed among the “Best-Reviewed Edinburgh Shows 2017.” In 2011, Stevenson participated in the ITV reality show “Show Me the Funny,” where she placed third, demonstrating her comedic abilities to a wider audience. She has also hosted the monthly comedy live show “Old Rope” in London since 2009, providing a platform for comedians to test new material. Her work encompasses writing, acting, and stand-up, reflecting a multifaceted career in entertainment.
Beyond live performances, Stevenson has engaged with other media formats. She hosts the podcast “Catharsis” and is a regular co-host for “The Bugle” podcast. Her career progression highlights a continuous engagement with both acting and comedy, alongside an ability to adapt to various performance and media platforms. Her experience with different formats and consistent touring demonstrates sustained activity and development within the entertainment industry. She plans to tour her 2019 Edinburgh show, “Mother,” in the UK and US.
