Tim Flowers

Tim Flowers is a distinguished English football manager and former player, renowned for his impressive contributions to the sport both on and off the pitch. After his crucial role in goal contributed to Blackburn Rovers winning their first top-division title since 1914 in the 1994–95 season, Tim Flowers had already established himself as one of Britain’s premier goalkeepers. His professional football career launched in 1984 with Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he quickly became their regular goalkeeper by the age of 18. He then moved to First Division club Southampton in June 1986 for £70,000, eventually becoming their primary goalkeeper in the 1989–90 season after initial seasons and a loan spell at Swindon Town in 1987.

During this period, Flowers also earned 11 caps for the England national team between 1993 and 1998, representing his country at Euro 1996 and as part of the 1998 FIFA World Cup squads. He had subsequent loan spells with Stockport County (2001), Coventry City (2002), and Manchester City (2002) before retiring as a player in 2003 following his final appearance for Leicester City. Following his decorated playing career, Flowers seamlessly transitioned into coaching and management. He served as a goalkeeper coach for Premier League clubs Leicester City and Manchester City, before taking on assistant manager roles at Coventry City in 2007 and Queens Park Rangers in 2008.

Most recently, in 2023, he managed Gloucester City, and in 2024, he has taken the helm at Bromsgrove Sporting and Redditch United. Flowers currently serves as the manager for Alvechurch, continuing to leverage his extensive playing and coaching expertise in leading professional football clubs.
