Tiril Eckhoff

Tiril Eckhoff is a celebrated biathlete, transitioning from Olympic gold medalist to an influential voice on wellness and climate action within winter sports. After winning three medals at her first Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014, Tiril Eckhoff went on to establish herself as one of biathlon’s most decorated athletes. Her breakthrough performance in Sochi included a gold medal in the mixed relay and two bronze medals in both the mass start and the women’s relay. Having made her World Cup debut in 2008, Eckhoff secured her first individual World Cup victory on December 6, 2014, in a 7.5 km sprint in Östersund during the 2014-2015 season.

Eckhoff capped her illustrious career at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, adding a gold medal in the mixed relay alongside teammates Marte Olsbu Røiseland, Tarjei Bø, and Johannes Thingnes Bø. She also earned a silver in the 12.5 km mass start and a bronze in the 10 km pursuit, further expanding her Olympic medal collection. Recognized for her unparalleled contributions to biathlon, she was awarded the esteemed Holmenkollen Medal in 2022.
